ULTIMATE HATE

While watching Ted Cruz spewing out lies on T.V., I recognized an emotion building inside of me that up to now could only be triggered by seeing and listening to 1 of 2 people, and I use the term "people" in the broadest sense of the word.

Those two are George Bush Jr., and Dick Cheney.

Even the utter loathing and disgust I experience  at the likes of Sarah Palin, Karl Rove, Grover Norquist, Michele Bachmann, Rush, Bill, Sean, or the Fox news channel can't stir the type of complete and total hatred I feel toward those two murderous traitors to America.

And trust me, that says a lot.

But now it appears that a third vile and unholy monster has arisen from the slime to test my ability to forgive and empathize .

I recognized that old feeling after hearing Cruz spewing out his evil lies for about 5 minutes, as soon as I was imagining how enjoyable it would be if I could just reach my hand through the T.V., grab Cruz by the throat, and punch him in the face for about a week and a half.

These are not emotions I enjoy feeling, I try very hard to not hate, but when I see somebody like Cruz, or Bush, or Cheney, destroying our nation in the fulfillment of their self serving evil agenda, I just don't seem to have any control of it.

However, unlike the continual angst and anger I feel toward Bush and Cheney's ability to escape the justice they have coming to them (so far), I find the pure hatred that Cruz stirs in me, can be overcome by sitting back and watching the total destruction of the entire GOP that Cruz has effected.

The pure pleasure I get from seeing the GOP/Tea party imploding into obscurity is enough to bring me back to optimism and good spirits.

Just imagining the utter turmoil and infighting that is taking place throughout the conservative party brings a smile to my face.

And I believe that when America finally hangs Bush and Cheney as the traitors they are, then I will finally be rid of this ultimate hate.

TIME TO TRUST YOUR MECHANIC

Let's say you bought a car in the year 2000, this was not a new car, but it looked like an ok deal, so you went ahead and purchased it.

Within a few months that car was having some problems so you took it to a mechanic, after he was done looking at it, he told you that it would need some work to get it running right.

You said, ok, I'll take your word for it, go ahead and fix it.

A short time later your car was returned to you, it still drove a little funny, but the mechanic said that will go away shortly, so you said ok, and then you waited for the car to start working correctly.

The car never really drove as well as you thought it should, and then after some months went by, your car had a major breakdown, you were in a panic, what am I going to do to get around you thought, but your mechanic said, leave it to me, I'll fix it up, everything will be fine, trust me.

Again you left your car in the hands of your able mechanic, this time however, he told you that your car was in great danger of a complete breakdown unless you took major precautionary steps to stop that from happening.

What could you do? You were stuck, you could not risk losing your car, so you said, well, if that's what you say I need to do, then I guess I'll just have to trust your judgement.

When you finally got your car back, you noticed on the bill that he did lots of seemingly unneeded repair work, and the cost was way more than he told you it would be, but he just replied, when I started working on it, I saw that it needed more repairs than I thought it would, so I just did them.

You were unhappy about these surprise charges, but what could you do? He said they were needed, and you thought you could trust him to have your best interest at heart.

When you again got your car back, it seemed as though it was running worse than ever, for the next few years you found yourself constantly having to pay your mechanic more and more money just to keep your car on the road.

Finally, in 2008, you had had enough, it was very obvious that your mechanic was not only inept at his job, but he was purposely soaking you for every penny he could steal from you.

You found yourself a new mechanic, and when you brought him your car he said, there are a lot of problems with this car, mostly from your previous mechanics lack of skills and deceitfulness, but this car is worth saving, it won't be easy, but I will do everything I can to bring it back to good health.

So you turned your barely running car over to your new mechanic, and right away he began to get it running right, he told you it would take some time to restore it completely, but that he would do the best he could.

For the next four years you would take your car back to your new mechanic, and each time you got it back you noticed it was running better and better.

But in 2013, you heard a strange noise coming from your engine, you took it back to your new mechanic and he told you that it needed to have some precautionary work done, but that it should not be too expensive for him to do.

All of a sudden, you're paralyzed with fear, you think back to your old mechanic telling you that same thing, and even though your new mechanic has never cheated you, and that he has gotten your car running better than it has in many years, the trauma that you suffered from your old mechanic is giving you fear of being totally used again.

If you haven't gotten the meaning of the story by now, it is this, President Obama feels that we need to show Assad and the others that using chemical weapons is intolerable, and a price will be paid if you choose to use them.

The people of the United States are in a turmoil of emotion over the possibility of punishing Assad for his actions.

They are afraid that this is only an excuse to get us into another conflict in the middle east, just as the Bush/Cheney administration had deceived and lied in order to fulfill their agenda to invade Iraq.

The differences are miles apart, Obama has done all he could to end Americas wars abroad, he has shown nothing but integrity and honesty in the 4+ years he has been in office, and he has proven time after time that he can be trusted to make decisions that are in the best interest of America.

So now we need to do just that, to trust him, to afford him the confidence he has earned, and that he deserves.

The Bush/Cheney/GOP years caused most of our nations population to be distrustful of their government and its leaders, Obama is trying to restore that lost trust, so how about we cut him a little bit of slack, and not hold him accountable for the criminal behavior of the previous administration

Our President has knowledge of circumstances we don't, so lets not be ruled by emotions, lets be ruled by intelligence and understanding, an understanding that Obama has earned the right of our trust at every turn, lets afford him that trust now.

THE STORY OF DOUCHEBAGISTAN Chapter 1 " The King"

This is the story of a land called douchebagistan, and just like other stories have many chapters for the reader to enjoy, so will this story.

The first thing you'll want to know, is who the characters are, so without further ado, I present to you, the Douchebagistanies.

This is the Current King of all the Douchebagistanies, King Cheney.

King Cheney stole his title from the previous king by being a puppetmaster of king Bush, but king Bush was too busy being an arrogant buffoon to notice the strings attached to him.

King Cheney is as evil a king as there ever was, he doesn't care about all the Douchebagistanies, he only cares about himself.

King Cheney had been involved in the affairs of Douchebagistan long before he was king. He has worked very hard in order to now claim the title of most douchebagiest.

Some of the evil things he has done have included causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women, and children so that he could make money.

While king Cheney was still a puppetmaster to king Bush, they decided to destroy the twin castles in Old York city in order to sell a war to the people.

The people believed the lies the king was telling, and soon there were two wars being waged at the same time.

King Bush and Cheney were elated, with two wars they could sell lots of weapons and oil to douchebagistan and make lots and lots of money.

King Cheney stays close to home because all over the world he is viewed as a criminal, and other countries will arrest him if they can catch him. He is also a criminal in douchebgistan, but he has enough money to keep from going to jail there.

In the next chapter, we will learn about the Grand  Queen of
Douchebagistan, Queen Ann Coulter.

CUT THE CHEIF A LITTLE SLACK

Because of being accused continually of having some sort of blind allegiance to President Obama, and because some things Obama does perplex my logical thinking, I will testify exactly what I believe.

I believe that no party or individual politician is beyond reproach. I think that every last one of them are human,(well, maybe not Cheney and Bachmann) and they are subject to human frailties. Temptations exist for every manner of appetite and regardless of moral strength, the mighty have fallen before and it should come as no surprise that they still do. So it is imperative that once chosen, a representative of the people must have their feet kept to the fire. The constant scrutiny by all the people must be maintained if we expect excellence from our lawmakers.

That being said, I, nor virtually anyone else are privy to what information our President has knowledge of, I have no doubt that as a candidate making political promises Obama was unaware of many things that would possibly alter his opinion on certain items, and once informed of those circumstances was forced to rethink his previous position. We should and must give him that latitude without undue criticism.

When Obama took office he was met with the full fury from the opposition, he was told that the sole goal of the GOP was to insure his becoming a one term President. Who ever had to deal with that blatant bullshit before? Obamas big mistake was attempting to reach across the aisle and make everything bi-partisan when that was the very last thing Republicans were seeking. If he would have recognized their stubborn hostility earlier and just passed his desired legislation while the Democrats controlled both houses then a lot more would have been accomplished in his first two years.

After the GOP took the Congress in 2010 all bets were off. The GOP representitves fell right in step in their obstruction of any and all legislation introduced by Obama or the Democrats.Even after the American public overwhelmingly rejected the GOP and it's platform in 2012, the Republicans continued their crusade to rid this planet of Obama and his policies.

My apparent cheerleading for Obama and the Democratic party is largely due to the utter contempt I have for the GOP. I'm not an idiot, I realize that all political parties are corrupt to a certain level, but the GOP is so flagrant in their abuses to America that I can forgive many discretions being done by others.

You always hear "quit blaming Bush", but you know what? That stupid SOB allowed Dick Cheney to lead him by the nose into the darkest, most evil filled days this nation has ever witnessed, together with the other traitors in the Bush criminal family this nation ended up virtually bankrupt of prestige, money, and hope. That was the legacy left by Bush and the GOP, that is the huge pile of shit that Obama was handed when he was elected in 2008. I said at the time, who the hell would want to have to try fixing this mess.

But Obama did rise to the challenge, in the face of pure obstruction and defiance, he was not only able to halt the disaster of an economy about to collapse, but has in the last 4 years managed to bring back job growth, to stabilize the housing market, to allow the stock market to reach new high levels, to end the war in Iraq, to find and kill Bin Laden, to decimate Al Qeada, to return our auto industry to health, to give millions of Americans the opportunity to see a doctor and get proper medical attention, the list goes on and on and on.

Obama did these things while a cowardly and treacherous Republican party did nothing, not a fucking thing, except employ every method, trick, and lie they could conjure to block anything that would shed a positive light on his Presidency. At the cost of untold miseries heaped upon the American public, the GOP stood directly in the path of jobs bills that would have employed millions, of infrastructure bills that would have not only created hundreds of thousands of jobs, but would have boosted our lagging economy and fixed our aging roads and bridges. These arrogant bastards even voted down legislation that over 90% of this country approved of...OVER 90%..

President Obama has approved programs that I'm leery of, he has signed orders that make me uncomfortable, but I'll tell you what, all you have to do is open your eyes and reflect back into the recent past. The absolute ass fucking we were getting from the GOP, which continues to this day, gives me reason to believe that if they were returned to power, the GOP would pick right up where they left off and then bend us over for some more of the same.

When America elected a black man as President, I was not only surprised, but I was completely filled with  joy and optimism , the knowledge of our people  having the ability to see past a persons skin color, and elect him to the most powerful job on the planet, gave me great hope for our nation, and our future.

Time will tell if Obama will go down as a great President or not, but my bet is that without the leadership and determination he has already proven he possess, America would be a very different and less livable place than it currently is.

America is still recovering, and the World continues to be at a very unnerving point in history, but imagining George Bush, or any of the other GOP offerings leading the way, is a nightmare I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

To Those Who Gave All For America, Thank You

Memorial day is a time that all Americans reflect back on those men and women who have sacrificed themselves in the service to us and our great nation. I can think of no thing more honorable or special to write about than a tribute to the heroes of America.

In the 18th century we fought America's first war, the War of Independence. America was born from that unlikely success we enjoyed way back then, when states didn't exist yet, only colonies loosely united. But even back 237 years ago when its people were being treated with contempt and disdain, those early Americans rose up and went forth in the face of overwhelming odds to defend this land and its people against the tyranny being imposed on it by a ruler an ocean away.

Thousands gave their lives way back then so that their children and their childrens children would be able to live in a land of freedom. We had forefathers who had the insight and wisdom to provide us with a road map for democracy, the Constitution and the Bill of rights, perhaps the most important documents ever written. Those revolutionary soldiers set the standard of what Americas military would become, a proud professional force whose courage and honor could not be surpassed, and whose strength on the field of battle would become legendary.

In the first half of the 19th century the military proved it's abilities in two major conflicts, the war of 1812 and the Mexican American war. In 1861 our great nation faced its worst nightmare, a civil war. The American civil war threatened to tear the United States apart forever, and although it began as a war for states rights, its ultimate cause would be for the enforcement of that which is written in our Constitution, that "all men are created equal."

The civil war succeeded in putting right a situation that shamed America, abolishing slavery. The civil war cost over 600,000 American lives, by far more than all other wars combined to that point in time, but it also brought a new beginning to these still United States of America. We ended the 19th century with the Spanish American war, where we established our military reach virtually around the world. Early in the 20th century America was quickly becoming an industrial giant and its influence in world affairs growing. Beginning in 1914 European nations entered war with each other that would eventually draw in most of the world.

Although The United States attempted to keep itself isolated from the conflict, we too were drawn into battle. By having our brave fighting men entering what was called the "war to end all wars", the gridlock was broken and the Americans and their allies were the victors in what would be known as World War I. This was a turning point for Americas military, we had gone abroad in the defense of other nations right to freedom.

Twenty one years later the European nations again found themselves at war with each other, and we again attempted to stay removed from their conflict. However over the next 2 years it was becoming more and more apparent that the only way this new war would end with the worlds freedom intact would be for the United States to once again enter the fray. While our nation was debating on whether or not to become involved, the decision was made for us on December 7, 1941. That day Japan attacked our Pacific fleet in Pearl harbor and decimated our battleships, it had also attacked our military bases throughout the Pacific. The next day we declared war on Japan, a short time later Japans allies, Germany and Italy declared war on the United States.

Once again the entire world was at war with each other, and once again the brave men and women of America stood up and took their place in the defense of freedom. For four years the might of the American military fought battles worldwide and in 1945 became the victors over tyranny. That massive war cost over half a million American lives, lives sacrificed on foreign soil in the name of freedom. Just 5 years later we again found ourselves engulfed in a conflict in Korea that would claim thousands of American lives. In the 1960's and 70's the Vietnam war would cost over 50,000 brave Americans their lives.

Through the 1980's and 90's Americas military answered the call to battle and did their duty without question. Here in the 21st century Americas fighting men and women have again been sent to foreign lands and again have given their all while representing this nation. All throughout the history of our great nation the bravery and honor of the men and women of Americas military have gone unquestioned, and their integrity and strength are unequaled in the world today.

To the countless number of those American heroes who gave their lives, and the families that lost them, we owe our undying gratitude and thanks, for without their great sacrifices we would not have a United States of America, and the world would be a much different place. So be grateful everyday, but be especially grateful today, and say a prayer of thanks to the ones who made freedom possible for us all. May God bless America, and the brave men and women who protect it every day.

It's Time To Start Treating Our Veterans Right

If I'm walking down the street and witness four or five younger guys harassing and being physical with an elderly lady or man, I know that I would intervene and somehow get them to stop their atrocious behavior. If I saw a man beating a woman I again would attempt to prevent it from continuing. If a child was being mauled by two or three dogs I wouldn't hesitate to rescue that child.

These three scenarios I've just listed have a common theme, in all of them my intervention has the very likely possibility that even if I were to be successful in halting the violence being dispensed, that I would soon discover that the violence hadn't stopped, it just changed it's focus point to me instead. Nobody wants to be put into a situation like that, where you know it's your moral duty to help the victim involved at the same time you're realizing that you could be the next victim yourself.

That is called putting yourself in harms way. If you happen to be the victim being rescued then whoever that person doing the rescuing is in your eyes a true hero and surely has your eternal gratitude and good wishes. There is no real difference between what I have just described and that which the men and women of our military do every day.

These soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines put themselves in harms way for us every time we ask them to. They intercede on our behalf to face and combat the forces that wish us and our nation harm. These brave people are no less heroic than the ones who personally rescue you. With the war in Iraq declared ended and the war in Afghanistan winding down we are beginning to have large numbers of military personnel returning home, some of these heroes have suffered terrible physical damage and should be treated to only the best medical care that can be found.

But there remains many, many more that are suffering wounds that aren't visible to the naked eye, they are being tortured by the things they have witnessed, and the things one needs to do in war. Things that we cannot bear to think about are the things these people live with in their memories every single day.

When I watched the tragedy of the Sandy Hook shootings unfold on the news all I could do was cry. Every time I saw anything about that horrible event my heart would break and my tears would flow. To this day it causes me pain to just think of the suffering being endured by the loved ones of those young victims.

How much more so for those on the front lines in war, the slaughter of thousands of innocents who were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. The enemy our troops fought were very willing to kill and maim their own people for any opportunity with which to also kill Americans.

Would you want to see the results of a car bomb going off in a busy market place? Seeing arms, legs, and heads lying around you that only moments earlier had been attached to women, children, and babies. God forbid us from ever having to view that scene, and yet, that is what many of our returning military were subjected to all the time. These things have a mental effect on anybody and they do take their toll in time.

You aren't going to hear anyone saying that they're having problems because they witnessed a bus load of people getting ripped apart by an I.E.D., or that they can't shake the guilt of having to shoot a 9 year old suicide bomber running toward them. They don't talk about these things, they keep them inside because they know how horrible they sound.

We as a nation have an obligation to these heroes that have gone into harms way on our behalf, we owe them a debt of gratitude so large that it is unlikely we could ever fulfill it. But instead of coming home and finding themselves the recipients of all that a grateful country can give, the only things they experience are the chaotic mismanagement of disability claims, the chronic unemployment problem, and the slashing of funding for veterans programs.

Shame on us! Shame on us all! Our countries leaders who seemed to have no problems with sending these people into harms way now seem to have trouble delivering what was promised to these brave Americans.

It would appear as though the Congressmen and Senators of the United States of America feel that their priorities are best suited in the continued squabbling and bickering being performed for the last four years instead of doing the job we sent them to do, looking out for the welfare of the American public. This bullshit has to stop, it's bad enough that we civilians have to endure the repercussions of our legislators partisanship nightmare, but subjecting our returning veterans to it's collateral fallout is an outrage that none of us should tolerate.

Whether you are Republican, Democrat, or Independent makes absolutely no difference, we are all Americans and as such it is our duty to insure that we do right by our military vets. Giving anything less than the very best possible to these people is unacceptable and we need to tell those representing us in Washington that if they are incapable of doing so, then we will gladly replace them.

Welcome home... now GET LOST!

Hey, welcome back. You did a great job over there. Too bad about your arm, but at least you still have the left one, thank God. I guess it's true, the third time is the charm. Here you make it back home twice without so much as a scratch, and then the third time you get deployed --BOOM!-- goodbye right arm. What a pisser that must be to you.

Look on the bright side! You could have been one of the guys you saw get their head blown off, or that corporal you told me about who helped you out of the burning Humvee, and then had his legs blown off. From your letters I thought Iraq sounded bad, but it's got nothing on Afghanistan, huh?

The way you described the aftermath of those suicide bomber attacks was more than I could handle. Just the idea of seeing babies and little children lying all around me, with their heads split open or their little arms and legs ripped off their tiny little bodies. Or especially the little girl you told me about; the one who had all her clothes and hair burned off her body and her skin was charred black, and all she could do was cry out for her dead mother. Man, I'll tell you what, I have no idea how you could forget an image like that, I get nightmares of it, and I wasn't even the one who saw it.

But hey, at least losing that arm bought you a ticket back home. This time for good.

I guess going back to being a carpenter isn't really an option for you anymore, but I'm sure you'll find something out there once the economy picks up. In the meantime, just kick back and relax. In about nine months, your interview with the Veterans' Affairs Department is scheduled, and if they approve you for partial disability, you can maybe move out of your folks basement. Then things will be looking up, huh? Anyway, again, welcome back.

The way we treat our returning veterans is appalling. This nation should hang its head in shame for the abuses piled upon these heroic warriors. In some parts of the country returning vets who have suffered disabilities while serving our great nation are told that there is a waiting list of nearly two years before their case is even heard -- not approved -- just heard.

Recently it was announced that due to sequestering, many programs designed to help veterans and their families were being slashed. Programs that would assist these vets with integrating back into a society far removed from that of the one they were living in recently. Tuition assistance programs for the children of those killed protecting us.

How any member of our government can validate the type of treatment our returning heroes are being subjected to is beyond my understanding.

Statistics show that an alarming number of these veterans are committing suicide daily, why would that be?

Because of the horrible things they were forced to witness; because of unending stresses; because of multiple deployments; the list goes on and on.

The job that these people were tasked to do in the name of the United States of America was done on their part with honor and excellence. The politicians who so bravely sent the sons and daughters of others to die in a foreign battlefield are now engaged in political gamesmanship for reasons of selfishness that belie their stated concerns. It's bad enough their partisan behavior punishes the citizenry they were sworn to protect, but the outrageous idea that we would give to those soldiers anything less than the very, very best we can offer, after they were willing to give ALL for us, is shameful.

These people went into harm's way for us, they now need our help and understanding. As a nation, if we refuse them this help, then I'm sure God won't see any reason to bless us.

Don't they know they're dead?

Someone recently suggested that I should post some of my rants that I wrote before I started this blog. At the time, I thought those postings are mostly political and relate to the 2012 election. Which, according to my abacus, was before now, 2013. I thought the messages I was trying to convey were basically time stamped and had no place in the current time period.

WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!

You see, I forgot to factor in the equation that the GOP and the trolls that reside there, are under the impression that the American public all have the same afflictions.

Those afflictions consist of the following:
  1.  We are all blind
  2.  We are all deaf
  3.  We are all stupid
  4.  We all have a thirty-second memory
  5.  Facts confuse us
I find it virtually unbelievable that the Republican Party continues to try to shove the same ideas and ideology down our throats that the voters, clearly rejected in the latest election.

Not only did the American public shun the GOP's platform, it rejected their various candidates on a wholesale level. Now, being blatantly lied to on an ongoing basis was bad enough, but they would get caught red-handed and just continue the lies.

This was not an isolated incident, but an established agenda. So, what does that tell you about how they view us? They consider us either completely apathetic or completely stupid. Take your choice, they're equally offensive.

The lengths that the GOP are willing to go to in order to satiate their base, whomever they might be, are bordering on treason. Purposely allowing untold damage to this nation, its economy and even its people. All for the sake of protecting and enriching the very small number of elite whom the GOP truly represent, is in my opinion an act worthy of prison time. Or better yet, hanging.

The 8 years of George Bush Junior was an era that will go down in history as possibly the most corrupt administration that ever shamed the American Presidency. To this day, I am puzzled as to why that entire group of murderers, thieves and traitors has been allowed to walk freely among us. And yet, even with the evidence continuing to be revealed about the outrageous behavior of that administration, the GOP of today is offering the very same menu.

George Bush Junior. was an idiot who served a need. A straw man for Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, etc. Now look at what we were offered last round; Romney, Trump, Gingrich, the assorted other losers. What they are saying was, is and will continue to be , isthat you and I are inconvenient objects that have to be tolerated, not taken seriously.

The powers that run the GOP could not care less about you, me or 99.99% of this country. You are a bug to them. An insect of no value. Their agenda is their only focus and they are very used to getting what they want. To me personally, the GOP has mortally wounded itself. I can't see how it can resurrect itself as a party capable of winning any national elections very easily and it appears to me that they are determined to keep digging that hole deeper and deeper.

And I say good riddance! I'm glad to be rid of your treacherous behavior, and the contemptuous way you purport a desire to help this country and its people  to be stronger and safer. I hope that whatever arises from the ashes of this meltdown will be a party that actually cares what happens to us.

All of us.
