If you think that you have heard the GOP/Tea party bitching before, just watch them now.
The decision by Harry Reid to change the way things get done in the Senate is going to make the conservatives go ape sh*#.
After putting up with the outrageous conduct of the minority in the Senate, and having to deal with their fillibustering agenda on every single issue, Harry Reid has finally done something he had been threatening to do if the conservatives continued to obstruct things, he changed the rules so that a simple majority vote was all that was needed to approve Presidential nominees.
Of course the GOP doesn't like this new rule at all because it is their main tool in their obstruction agenda, their only reason for being there.
For 5 long years Reid has put up with the GOP abuse of the fillibuster, and now that they have pushed their abuse too far, the Senate speaker has finally done what he told them he would do.
Kudos Harry Reid, you did the right thing, the GOP has blocked so much progress that could have been accomplished, that they more than deserved a dressing down, and you gave them one.
The GOP/Tea party have been acting like a child with a squirt gun, you tell them to stop squirting the dog with it, yet they continue on relentlessly in their abuse of the beast, finally, the only thing you can do is to take the squirt gun away.
So thank you Harry Reid, you did the right thing, now we will see some progress being achieved, now that the GOP has been properly disciplined.

Though not much in the press lately, the tar sands issue is still a hotbed of debate, let me explain why.
Tar sands oil is located in Canada, it is a huge supply of oil, but it is also some of the dirtiest and most difficult to refine oil there is.
The owners of that oil wish to build a pipeline from Canada, all the way through the United States, down to the Gulf of Mexico.
They want this for two reasons, one is that they need the refineries to process that oil, and two, they need the ports located there to ship the refined oil overseas.
The following are the selling points that the GOP give for allowing the pipeline to go through.
1. It would create thousands of jobs for Americans.
2. It would make America less energy dependent on other nations.
Here are the reasons given for opposing the build.
1. Any jobs created by the pipeline build would be temporary for the most part, when the build was complete only a handful of jobs would remain.
2. The Tar sand oil is very dirty, and difficult to refine, aside from the excess pollution it would create to refine it, if a spill from a ruptured line would occur, (which it has already in some places) then the mess is far worse than regular oil spills, and much more toxic.
3. All of the refined oil would be sold overseas, not in the U.S., so it would not reduce Americas energy needs a bit.
4. The ability of the pipeline would allow current sellers of Canadian oil to jack up prices they charge the U.S., estimates are that we would experience a 40 cent a gallon increase in gasoline prices here.
The bottom line is that not only would we not get long term jobs for Americans, but that we would be putting our environment at risk, and paying more at the pump.
So why does the GOP push for the pipeline?
Why does the GOP do anything, it's because the owners of that oil are names that are all too familiar to those of us paying attention, one of the biggest being Koch industries.
And as the bought and paid for lap dog of the elite corporate 1%, the GOP is only doing what it was told to do, to get the pipeline approved at any cost.
So although the issue isn't prominent in the current news cycle, it will not go away, not when there are billions of dollars that the rich can exploit at our expense.

What the Hell is going on here?
Why are people saying President Obama lied?
Why are people getting their health insurance policies cancelled?
Why are new policy prices going up so much?
These 3 issues are the current ammunition that the GOP/Tea party are using in their failing war to sway American voters to their side, and as is the standard practice of the Conservative movement, they are twisting facts, cherry picking statements, and just plain lying to get their agenda fulfilled.
Lets address these 3 issues individually, first, why are people saying President Obama lied?
1. The GOP/Tea party reps. are saying that the President lied about peoples ability to keep the policies they currently had (prior to the ACA mandate).
The truth: All insurance policies that were in effect at the time were grandfathered in, regardless of benefits, those policies were given a pass that allowed them to continue being in force, therefore the only ones able to change that status would be the insured, or the insurance company, not the President, or anyone else.
The insurance companies themselves opted to cancel those policies because the vast majority of them were garbage coverage. They knew that in an open market nobody would buy them, therefore, they took advantage of the timing, and sent out the cancellation notices, which brings us to the second question, why are people getting their policies cancelled?
2. As previously stated, the insurance companies knew that they were about to have many of their current policy holders given the opportunity to shop for health care coverage elsewhere, and that the policies they currently were selling them would be abandoned en masse' . The companies decided to cancel existing policies prior to the ACA opening up, so that they could sell those same customers policies that met the ACA guidelines before the customers could have a chance to compare prices and coverage, which brings us to number 3, why are prices going up so much?
3. The fervor over rate increases is due to the fact that the insurance companies are trying very hard to get the customers they just cancelled into purchasing new plans BEFORE they have a chance to see other options available to them, because then they make more money.
If you haven't already figured it out, I'll tell you, the insurance industry sells an intangible product, a product that costs them nothing to produce, no buying of raw material, no manufacturing plant, just a piece of paper with a promise to pay certain costs if you should experience some sort of calamity.
As such, the people who decide what that promise will cover, and how much you will have to pay for that promise, varies a great deal.
Over 85% of those with health insurance have it through their employer, and those employers have people that negotiate prices and policy limits with the insurers, thereby getting the best rates and best coverage possible.
However there are many who must buy their insurance individually, and up to this point, those people were unable to shop for the best deals, and many of them had to settle for expensive policies that covered very little.
Those policies were very profitable for the insurance companies however, because the insurers could pick and choose who they would insure, if you were older, you paid a lot, if that is, you could get covered at all, if you had a pre existing condition, forget it, they didn't want you.
Not only did they rob people blind with the premiums, they also sold them policies that were void of any real coverage, or had lifetime caps that were low enough to still bankrupt them with a major medical emergency.
The ACA levels the playing field, it allows all Americans the opportunity to buy health insurance at a reasonable price, at the same time, it forces the insurance companies to accept clients with pre existing conditions, or older people who can't get healthcare coverage otherwise.
It also removes lifetime limits of benefits, so that if you get sick, you won't have to go bankrupt to pay for your medical costs.
And the big kicker is, the insurance companies are only allowed to keep a certain percentage of premiums paid as profit, the rest must either go toward actual benefits paid, or refunded to the policy holders.
All these things accomplish two main goals.
1. They allow all Americans to get proper healthcare.
2. They address the problem of skyrocketting healthcare costs.
But they do this at the cost of insurance companies profits, which by the way, are astoundingly large, just look at how many tv commercials are for insurance, a lot.
This is why the ACA has faced so much opposition, money, money that the insurers want to keep. That is why they have enlisted the GOP to try anything possible to defeat the ACA.
The GOP is screaming about people getting their policies cancelled, and their rates going up, but in reality, those people have not yet had the opportunity to go to the web site and see what else is available to them, and if they qualify for any of the subsidies offered.
I would not be at all surprised to find out that the GOP has been attacking the ACA web site in order to keep it from functioning properly, they are pretty desperate these days.
It is being revealed more and more that insurers like Humana, and Blue cross have sent letters to people telling them that their cancelled policies will be automatically switched to updated policies, with a big premium increase, even though if those same people compare their options, they find that they can get better coverage for less money, and usually qualify for a subsidy.
That gives big incentives for the insurance industry to keep the web site down.
Here is the bottom line, the ACA is going to be successful, the web site will become operable, people will find the new healthcare system pleasing, insurance company bigwigs will get a couple less 0's on their bonuses, and the GOP will have once again been exposed as the party of the elite 1%, the corrupt greedy unholy entity that it is.

The recent actions of the GOP/Tea party have made it easier than ever to determine which of the two types of conservative you are.
Of course when I say recent I mean the previous 5 years with an emphasis on the last 1 or 2.
There are only two choices for you to pick from. Because if you still support the GOP/Tea party and its representatives after they have overwhelmingly proven just how diabolical and unpatriotic they are, how willingly they will throw this nation under the bus, how casually they will destroy the economy, and how unapologetically they will lie, deceive, and spread false rumors while subverting any and all election processes America was founded upon, then you MUST be one of the following:
A: Ignorant
If you are so blind deaf and dumb as to not have witnessed the incredibly obvious outrageous acts that the GOP/Tea party have attempted since 2009 and especially in 2013 then you have no place in voicing an opinion regarding ANY political issue.
Your uninformed and intelligence vacant position is not only unproductive and non helpful it is very detrimental in any progress that this country might actually attain. You should either get informed or just S.T.F.U.
B. Criminal
If you have actually been paying attention to the GOP/Tea party behavior I have listed above, and yet you continue to support them and their tactics then that means that you agree with them that "the ends justify the means".
In the fulfillment of their treasonous agenda all bets are off. Any methods used whether legitimate or not are fair game. Regardless of how many Americans suffer from it's effects.
Not only is that type of behavior anti-American, anti-democracy,and morally reprehensible it is also treasonous. Which makes it not only disgusting but also makes it illegal.
If you vote for and support those who would take a solemn oath to preserve, protect, and defend this nation against all enemies foreign or domestic and those that you voted for were openly breaking those vows and yet you still support them that would be called criminal facilitation. And that would render you the same as them. A Criminal.

Judges have officially declared that New York state is the winner of the rogue cop contest.
The competition was fierce, with many states vying for first place, but New York pulled ahead at the end and was crowned the "rogue cop capitol" of America.
New York is always one of the favorites to win, but with N.Y.C.'s unconstitutional stop and frisk program, the opportunities for rogue cops to do what they do best increased exponentially.
The murdering of unarmed civilians and the unwarranted assault of tens of thousands of its citizens shows just how determined New Yorks finest were to win this competition.
Second place went to Florida, although they lacked the massive numbers of rogue cop events, the sunshine states cops displayed a unique and special performance of murdering the unarmed citizenry they "protect", along with their long history of racial profiling, these rogue cops were
stiff competition to the end.
California came in a solid third place, some were betting that the Oakland transit police killing of an unarmed youth, and the vast amount of assaults from the L.A. sheriffs dept. and police dept. would be enough to win the golden state the rogue cop title, but with this years competitive field, the best they could do was third place.
Honorable mentions went to Texas and Ohio for the galant efforts of their many, many rogue cops.
Although Arizona had very high numbers of reported rogue cop events, it was ruled that the TSA and other federal law agencies were the main source for many of those reports.
From the Detroit cops pulling over and robbing people at gunpoint, to the Park forest,Ill. cops killing a 95 year old man in a nursing home, and countless other similar events, it is clear that the rogue cops of today outperform any that have gone before them, as future competitions should prove.
So congratulations New York, you are the proud title owner of the state with the most rogue cops.

Extortion is a very serious crime, that is unless you are a licensed extortionist, then you can just feel free to steal as much as you like.
The licensed extortionists try to soften it down by referring to it as "asset forfeiture".
From the federal government down to the little town council, our "representatives" have taken a law intended to financially cripple drug dealers and money launderers, and instead turned it into a "for profit" business.

And just as government on all levels is so well known for doing, once they find a way to steal more money from us, they will milk that cash cow until it is completely dead.
Believe it or not, there are some jurisdictions that actually pay their cops bonuses depending on how much money that cop generated for them with the asset seizures he had done.

There are countless places across America where all you have to do is look "suspicious" to a cop, and he will take your money and valuables claiming they were ill gotten gains, and then it is your job to prove otherwise, and if the judge doesn't like your answer, too bad, bye bye money, thanks for stopping in, have a nice day.
Just like the towns who set up speed traps to get your money, these cops misuse the law to legally rob you of everything you have.
There are communities where people have gotten their homes seized because their grandchild was selling dime bags of pot from it.
People have their vehicles seized and auctioned off, leaving them without the means to go to work.
This is the same exact behavior that permeates our entire justice system, those that run the system and make up the rules are so disconnected from the public that they become cold hearted monsters, unable to feel any compassion or empathy, they no longer consider people as fellow humans, they see only opportunities to enrich their own interests.
They could not possibly care less about the chaos and destruction they are causing you, to them you are like an insect, just squash it and move on.
Our system is horribly broken, and I'm not sure it can be fixed. But I am sure of one thing, I'm sure that if this house of cards collapses, and society as we know it crumbles in pieces, then those people who had once been in power had better find a damn good hiding place, because you will be seeked out, and you absolutely will not want to be found.

Usually I try keeping up with current events on a regular basis, but I must have been out of town the day they announced the contest on which state was able to produce the highest number of rogue cops.
It appears to have a lot of competition, even the smaller states are striving for 1st place.
An interesting but unsurprising element to this contest is that the cops get to make up the rules as they go along.
Because the various police agencies are very secretive about their rogue police teams, it has been difficult to determine just which of the 50 states is currently in first place.
There is also the added factor that extra bonus points will be given to the rogue cops who display behavior that sets them apart from even the other rogue cops in the competition.
Although most all the states seem to be trying to compete in this contest, there are some states that are so well versed in employing cops who already possess the mindset that turns them rogue, that they have a clear advantage over the rest of the field.
From the information I am able to gather, These are the states that are currently leading the pack, and some of their highlight cop events.
Arizona: This was to be expected of course, with Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the many illegal roadside I.D checkpoints they institute, they are one of the favorites to win.
Texas: You knew they would be striving for the top spot here, they've even shown their ingenuity by purposely recording illegal invasive body cavity searches on their police vehicle cameras. Kudo's.
California: Perhaps the favorite to win the contest is this state, between the Los Angeles police and sheriffs departments multitude of contributions, the state can also boast of the actions of the Oakland transit police, with their "shoot first, ask questions later" policy.
New York: The unconstitutional policy of random searches allows an opportune advantage for N.Y.C. rogue cops to propel that state in the rankings, and along with their mass corruption, they will be tough competition to beat.
Florida: Certain to be among the top finalists, the habit of killing unarmed citizens, and regarding the murder of non-white people as undeserving of any investigation should prove to be a real plus for the cops of the sunshine state.
Ohio: The recent outburst of over 100 Cleveland law enforcement officers willfully disregarding department procedures and going rogue in a high speed chase that culminated with the murder of two unarmed citizens, shows the determination and desire they have to win this contest.
It is obvious that the field of competition is fierce and committed, but no matter which state turns out to be the eventual rogue cop champion, they can all be proud of the fact that the cops in their state did everything they could to win.

Just how dumb would the GOP and their lords and masters, Wall street, big banks, big oil, corporate America, etc. like us all to be?
The answer is, they would like us as dumb as possible.
Why on earth would they want that you ask? Because the dumber you are, the less questions you will ask them to answer.
Questions such as, "is that food safe to eat?", and, "is fracking for gas environmentally safe?, and, "can you be trusted with my life savings?"
They would really, really prefer not having to answer questions like these because they realize that their insatiable greed causes them to place our welfare and well being a distant 2nd or 3rd, way behind personal enrichment, and corporate profits.
It's not that they won't answer these important questions being posed by the public, they do, they just answer them with lies and deceit.
If need be, they will hire specialist groups to do "test studies", and "impact evaluations" in order to determine any detrimental effects, studies done to put our fears and concerns at ease.
The problem is, these "specialists" they hire are there to do one thing, insure that their findings are exactly what those that hired them want them to be.
Look at the tobacco industry and how it's "experts"
lied to us for years and years, if you don't think that type of thing is still happening then you need to take off those rose colored glasses.
The only thing that these corporations and the elite that own them give a damn about is your money, and what is needed for you to give it to them, and they will do whatever it takes to do that.
So, the more you believe their spin about having your health and happiness as their main priority, the more you will trust them and buy whatever they're selling, be that petroleum, policies, or practices.
Ask yourself this, why would the GOP ever want to cut funding for education?
It's because an educated public is an informed public, and an informed public takes much greater notice of the things being done in their names.
An educated and informed public doesn't take what it is being told at face value, it investigates and scrutinizes statements and claims being made to determine if they are true or not.
If you compare two statistical map charts of the United States, one showing the areas of the nation with the least educated population, and the other showing the areas containing the highest percentage of GOP voters, you will find that their similarities are amazing.
A drug company omits negative data to the FDA in order to get a new drug to market, that drug proves to be toxic and gets recalled, the drug company gets fined $10 million, but in the meantime it has made profits of $500 million selling that drug.
An oil corporation is found illegally drilling on public land, it gets an $80 million fine, but the oil they have stolen has profited them $900 million.
An investment and banking industry conspires to create the biggest Ponzi scheme in history, when the scheme finally implodes, millions of innocent people lose their life savings, and an entire world is plunged into financial chaos. The executives of those companies receive bonuses of millions of dollars each, and the taxpayers have to bailout the offenders, and no one goes to jail.
With these and many, many more shameless acts of pure greed being done against us by those who own most of this country already, it is a wonder we haven't strung up those responsible yet. (hopefully soon)
But the saving grace for the elite puppet masters is, those masses of uninformed, ignorant, apathetic Americans who are unable or unwilling to open their eyes and see what is really happening around them, see that they are becoming slaves to an evil and uncaring group that views them as nothing more than a cash cow, a cow to be milked till it's dry.
Unless we can get those masses to be interested in the future of America, I'm afraid that Americas future is going to be pretty bleak.

OK, time to put on the tin foil hat and go out on a limb now, please bear with me.
I recently wrote a blog titled "nearing the tipping point" in which I warned that the increasingly wide disparity between the rich and the poor was just a powder keg waiting to explode.
I pointed out that the American middle class has been steadily shrinking for the last 3 decades, with the latest decade witnessing an exponential burst of the previously middle class now labeled as poor.
The warning I issued emphasized that as the once inhabitants of the middle class were being forced into the ever enlarging ranks of Americas poor, that they would find they had less and less to lose, and that people with nothing left to lose are capable of some very violent and destructive behavior.
As almost a footnote at the end of that blog, I said that the elite need to cease their immensely greedy behavior, unless it was insurrection and mass revolt
that they were looking to attain.
I'm aware of a variety of conspiracy theories that delve into that scenario, but I hadn't given them any particular credence to this point.
Scenarios of the worlds elite reducing the Earths population by 90% so that they can more easily control and enslave the remaining inhabitants and place themselves as masters over them.
These scenarios being brought forth by an elite group in the formation of a "new world order", a world in which a very few would have complete and total rule over the rest.
That being said, let me now state that I am a very pragmatic person, when I investigate an issue my only agenda is to find the truth, not the opinions or conjectures of people, only the actual true facts.
As a pragmatist, I have found that the simplest and most obvious explanations are more times than not the correct conclusions.
If that remains true, then my observations of the current atmosphere and events taking place in our country paint a very bleak and foreboding picture of things to come.
Short of some miraculous and newly discovered industry that relies solely on American manpower, the good paying jobs that built up the middle class are not going to return.
Without those good paying jobs, and the buying power that they afforded those that had them, the American economy will sink like a rock.
So with the full knowledge of that potentially catastrophic outcome,why would the GOP be so adamant in blocking any and all proposed jobs legislation, or infrastructure rebuilding programs?
Why aren't the C.E.O.'s of Americas corporate giants forcing the GOP to forget the partisanship game they've been relentlessly playing, and get the economic ball rolling again?
Why were Wall street and the big banks allowed to pull off the biggest Ponzi scheme in history on the entire world?
Why has our government been tripping over itself in a rush to implement systems that can track every individuals movements and conversations?
Why has our President enacted special decrees that give the government legal standing to deny us our constitutional rights?
These questions and many others like them are not being addressed, let alone answered.
In my quest for understanding just what exactly was happening around us, I decided to do some mental reverse engineering.
I thought, ok, if I were a small group of super rich members of the worlds most exclusively elite club, and for some reason decided that this planet needed to reduce its population by 90%, and be completely restructured to have only myself, and the members of my club calling all the shots, how would I do it?
Amazingly, I would do the exact same things that we see are being done right now.
I would amass all the wealth, and plunge the nation and its people in overwhelming debt.
I would create distractions and crisis that would keep eyes off me.
I would cause fear and distrust between groups to keep them from uniting.
I would control the media and feed them only the propaganda I chose to deliver.
I would monitor all conversations in order to stop any dissent or opposition.
I would have installations at the ready to remove all those who spoke against me.
Whoa!!! Stop the bus!!! This is getting scary!!!
Are we in the final stages of the elite's master plan?
Do we believe our lying eyes and common sense, or do we believe what we're being told?

America is nearing the tipping point, also called the point of no return,
and if things don't change soon, then it will be too late.
The disparity between the have and have nots is wider than ever, and all the indicators point to this imbalance continuing for the foreseeable future.
There has always existed multiple economic classes in America, but beginning with the industrial revolution, the opportunities for the multitudes to realize true financial success in their own lifetime was made possible for the first time in history.
With that opportunity the American middle class grew to be a massive financial powerhouse, everyday workers being able to afford multitudes of products that were once only attainable by the wealthiest among us.
The beginning of the 20th century saw the elite robber barons of the day controlling all the financial resources, thereby keeping a stranglehold on any opportunity for others.
Starting with Teddy Roosevelt's dismantling of corporate trusts and monopolies, and government legislation reigning in the abusive tactics of Corporations, along with the founding of trade unions, the American middle class began to grow and thrive.
During the 1920's Wall street was an unregulated entity, and as such it was manipulated by the elite for their own self enriching purposes, and just as it has done numerous times since then, the unsustainable bubble burst.
The incredibly irresponsible practices of the day came back to annihilate not only the American economy, but the economies of virtually the entire planet.
Along with the rest of the world, the United States was plunged into a horrible financial depression for the next decade, people had no money to purchase goods, so manufacturers laid off their workers, which created a vicious downward cycle of chain events.
At this same time, European countries were also suffering the effects of worldwide financial collapse, but one European country in particular was also being financially strangled by other nations.
After Germany lost World War 1, it was forced to pay restitution to France and Great Britain, since 1918 those nations had been siphoning off every asset in Germany, which kept the German economy in ruins.
The absolute economic chaos experienced by the German people was directly responsible for the rise of Hitler and the Nazi party, and eventually World War 2.
Ironically, WW2 was the catalyst that propelled America out of the great depression, along with the need for weapons and supplies, came the need for workers to make those items.
After WW2 ended, America had become a mega economic giant, with the end of arms production American industries were now tasked with producing goods needed throughout the world, goods that Europe and other countries were unable to produce because their infrastructures had been destroyed.
American industry also saw tens of millions of its own country men now with the financial ability to buy their products, along with government housing loans and the G.I. bill for veterans, Americas economy soared.
Throughout the next few decades the American middle class grew and prospered, and as it did, so did our nation.
But in the last few decades, something else has occurred, the middle class has been shrinking, corporations have automated production, thereby needing fewer workers, and the workers it does still require are more and more doing those jobs in places like China and India.
The once mighty industrial American machine seems to have been parceled out to parts of the world where workers are one notch above slave status.
With the absolutely reckless policies of the George W. Bush administration, along with 2 very expensive wars, America has been put in debt up to her neck and beyond.
Add to that huge tax cuts on the wealthy, and mass deregulation of banking and industry, deregulation by the way that created the unbelievably massive implosion of the housing market, and you get to where we are today.
What we have is a GOP that is acting like a spoiled child that can't have its way, it refuses to even vote on jobs bills, or bills for infrastructure rebuilding, the GOP is more than willing to let this nation go down in flames for its corporate masters cause.
The GOP claims that there are more people receiving some type of government assistance today than ever before, that may be the only true thing they have said in years, but they fail to add that it is because of their failed policies, and their complete allegiance to corporations, and the elite 1% that created that situation.
As the middle class evaporates, as the rich get richer, as the poor get poorer, America will find itself with countless millions of its citizens who find that they have nothing left to lose, and people with nothing to lose are willing to do extreme things.
So take note GOP and the elite 1%, you have pushed the people of America to the edge, the same people who facilitated your rise to success, can also bring you down, and it won't be as pleasant of a trip, its time to stop your greed and self centered behavior.
If the tipping point is crossed, then it will be you elite that will be responsible for it, and you will most certainly be held accountable
