DO YOU LIKE BEING PLAYED FOR A FOOL? IF NOT, THEN READ THIS.

    It is quite obvious to anyone who cares enough to pay any attention to it that the GOP/Tea Party has been, is, and will continue to be engaged in an all out campaign to make voting as difficult as possible for those that traditionally vote for the Democratic ticket.

   Instead of trying to attract a wider and more diverse base of supporters the Conservatives have chosen to just keep their outdated and unpopular policies that appeal to a very limited and ever decreasing number of Americans. Their base is rife with bigoted whites whose hate filled souls let them accept and support a party that is wholly owned and manipulated by the elite 1%.  

   Even at the cost of voting for things against their own self interest the ignorant and hateful GOP/Tea Party members seem to prefer that over trying to accept a black man as president, or a woman's right to decide what's best for herself, or a gay couples desire to marry, or allowing millions of their fellow Americans  the ability to get healthcare, or etc., etc., etc. It doesn't seem to end.

   Now just because the GOP/Tea Party refuses to become part of the 21st century does not mean they don't want to win elections. They certainly want to do that. After all, their ultimate goal is to have total control over every aspect of our lives. They have just chosen a different method in being able to get elected. Even when most Americans disagree with their policies.

   The GOP/Tea Party figures that if it can't get more votes, then it needs to make sure the Democrats get less votes. That is exactly why they are so fervent in their agenda to enact as many laws as possible to make it more and more difficult for certain segments of the population to vote. Those segments just happen to be groups that traditionally vote Democrat.

   They have also done as much as they can to limit the number of voting days and hours a person can cast a ballot. They try to eliminate or minimize the ability for absentee voting. They reduce the number of voting booths in minority areas. They gerrymander districts. They get their partisan puppets on the Supreme court to strike down laws specifically designed to insure fair voting practices. They get those same puppets to allow the mega rich to give any amount of money they wish and to do it anonymously. 

   The list of despicable and truly un-American tactics that the GOP/Tea Party employs in their quest for voter suppression also seems endless. But there is one method they are using that is so diabolical and evil that it could only be devised by them. Voter apathy.

   They figure that if they can get people to believe that their vote didn't matter then those people just wouldn't vote. If they could convince people that both parties are equally corrupt and manipulated by the rich then people would figure it was pointless to vote. That is why they have made every effort in shutting down congress. They don't care if they look bad as long as they make people think that both parties are to blame. They have blocked all progress in the house for  the last 5 years for just that reason.

   If you notice their base of voters get overjoyed and enthusiastic when there is a government shutdown while the vast number of Americans only see a failed congress. GOP and Democrat alike. That is exactly what the Conservatives want you to think. They are playing people who don't even know they're being played.

   Don't let the GOP/Tea Party get away with their despicable behavior. They are a party of lies and deception. They don't give a damn about you, me, or anyone else that isn't rich and powerful. The Democratic party is not perfect, not by a long shot. But it is the party that believes that we are our brothers keeper and that ALL Americans deserve to have equal opportunities and protection under the law.

   Don't let yourself be manipulated by the nonstop B.S. the GOP/Tea Party engages in. Your vote matters. We are on the correct side of history. We vastly outnumber them. We just need to make sure we make ourselves heard and seen. Register early. Encourage others to register early. And for all of our sakes, VOTE.

THIS IS OUR GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY....DON'T SCREW IT UP...

   Opportunities like this are few and far between. And when they do come around you need to first off recognize them for what they are, and second you need to grab a hold of them and work them for all they're worth.

   The Golden opportunity that I'm referring to is the fact that the progressive liberal Democrats are in a position to virtually dominate the 2014 and 2016 national elections. The GOP has left the door wide open for us to clean their clocks at the polls.

   Even after the blood bath they took in 2012 they still haven't changed a bit of their losing strategy. They continue going forward with the identical failed agenda that proved so destructive to them already. And they just appear to be doubling down on that same flawed agenda.

   After alienating just about every group of voters from minorities and women to young people and the LGBT community the GOP/Tea Party ticket has been left with a threadbare base of old white men and diehard southern bigots. And those old white men aren't regenerating anytime soon.

   And as an added bonus for us the various factions that make up todays Conservative movement, namely the GOP and the Tea Party are at each others throat. Further still you have the Libertarian Party causing its own style of division among the ranks.

   The splintering of these groups alone should cause us to be very optimistic about our potentially being the majority in both houses after the 2014 race. But as the commercials say, "But wait..there's more". The fact that the GOP shut down the government in 2013 and then held America hostage has not been forgotten by the voters. The continuing success of the ACA will show how much the GOP was lying to America. The obstruction they created to make the congress the least productive in American history was there for all to see.

   The current desperation of the GOP is extremely apparent. They have resorted to their worn out old standbys, "Fast and furious", "The IRS scandal", and of course, "Benghazi..Benghazi..Benghazi". They know how pathetically weak they are and there is little they can do to fix it.

   That is why we can decimate them across the board. If we unite as a solid force and give it our all we can finally get to a place where the GOP can't stand in the way of jobs bills or infrastructure bills or the myriad of other legislation that we need to get America back to work. We need to work tirelessly toward that goal. We need to get out there and make sure their voter suppression tactics fail. We need to make sure every single Democratic voter knows just how critical the 2014 elections will be for our future.

   We also have to be aware of the dirty tricks the GOP likes to enlist in their arsenal. Things like ballot rigging and voter intimidation. Remember that they are extremely desperate and have absolutely nothing to lose. They will employ anything they can to win. They have no morals or decency when it comes to winning or stealing an election. They have already proved that many times in the recent past.

   As the clock continues to wind down toward the November election date we will see the GOP engaging in ever more desperate behavior. They will lie bully and scare as many people as possible in every conceivable way. But as I said we can and must put an end to these home grown terrorists that would let America fail for the sake of their elite masters.

   Just imagine the progress we can make as a nation when we have an elected body that is unified in the goal of restoring this great country to its proper standing in the world. It's a wonderful thought.

THIS WOULD BE SAD IF IT WEREN'T SO FUNNY

   Between my bouts of uncontrollable laughter, I will sometimes pinch myself just to make sure that this isn't just a pleasant dream I'm having.

   I have said many times that the GOP/Tea party has passed the point of no return, that all their evil ways of attempting to regain political power have come full circle, and now it's biting them in the ass.

   Their gerrymandering districts, their unending attempts of repealing healthcare, their suppression of voting rights, their non stop filibustering, their refusal to hold votes on jobs bills, infrastructure bills, and any other bills put forth by the Democrats, their holding this nation hostage and threatening it's financial life, it just goes on and on.

   They did all these things with the bravado of a king, somehow believing that the American public was too stupid to see what they were up to, well guess what GOP/Tea party, surprise, we know you are lying, we know you represent the elite 1%  and the corporate masters that own you, we know that you are nothing but arrogant self serving bigots who don't give a damn about anybody but yourselves.

   Your treasonous party plunged this nation into the longest war in its history, you have cost us thousands of brave American lives, trillions of dollars, and succeeded in allowing your corporate masters to nearly destroy our entire economy.

   And then to prove just how evil and despicable you are, you try to turn around and blame the current President for all the failures that your party is responsible for, well listen up, you are done, in the 2014 and 2016 elections, we are going to fire your worthless  asses and send you back to your cesspool of ignorant likeminded bigots.

   The way you spent the last 5 years doing absolutely nothing but attempting to obstruct every piece of legislation proposed by the Democrats, the way you tried over and over and over to make our President look like a failure, the ever increasing amount of lies and deception you so comfortably spewed out, have shown that you are well aware that the majority of this nation is opposed to your views.

   And now, after everything you have tried has failed, you are becoming more and more desperate.

   Instead of expanding your base, you chose instead to double down on your archaic policies, instead of listening to the people, you were just the lapdog of the rich, instead of doing the right thing for America, you turned your back on this country.

   I have to admit that watching you the last 5 years has been very entertaining,  how each and every time you tried to indict our President in wrong doing, it always ended with  you shooting yourself in the foot, not once or twice, but every damn time.

   I guess that since every Republican  President in the last 50 years has been guilty of corruption and dishonor, you must have figured that President Obama must be corrupt too, of course you were wrong.

   President Obama has shown more leadership than 
all the GOP Presidents combined, add to that he is a moral man with rock solid family values, and an unbridled passion for helping the disenfranchised among us. He supports the everyday American, not just the elite, he is a believer in the America our forefathers envisioned, not the America the elite would like to rule.

   So after all your many failures, you put all your eggs into one basket, the hope that the ACA would be a complete failure, and that you could ride out the 2014 and 2016 elections telling everybody that your party was the right answer to our problems.

   But guess what, even with your trying incredibly hard to sabotage the ACA, it has been getting better and better, and people are again seeing just how low you are willing to go to get your way.

   And now with that taken away from you, all we hear are the same old false issues you love to scare people with, and that desperation is what makes me laugh.

   You are a pathetic party of traitors, your evil agenda of greed and power make you despicable, I wish for your party all the nasty and bad things that can happen to them, I gleefully laugh at your every misfortune, and I happily toast your ultimate demise

   If you are a Liberal/Progressive/Democrat, you will absolutely love reading this posting.

   Anybody who pays even a minimum of attention to the political scene these days knows some of the things happening around them.

   To those of us watching, the most apparent thing is the GOP/Tea party in hyper desperation mode.

   The conservative movement has for many years now been quite comfortable representing the wants and desires of the corporations and the elite 1% in America, and quite comfortable accepting the cash they so generously supply to their political puppets.

   Now I'm not implying the left doesn't have it's share of corrupt political figures, of course it does, but there are dramatic differences between the two.

   First of all, the ones doing the corrupting are the ones with the most money, ie. Banks, Wall street, Big oil, etc., and the main interest they have is to keep government from regulating or overseeing them.

   The elite that own those corporations seem to believe that they are above the law, that they are somehow superior to the rest of us, and they should therefore be granted special treatment.

   Their behavior is nothing new, since the human species first began living together in large groups there have been those whose desire to control the lives of others drove them to incredible actions.

   The same holds true today, a small group of individuals feel it is their right to dictate how things should be, that they alone should make the rules.

   That being said, the two major political parties in America are the GOP, and the Democrats. The Democratic party has a platform of equality for all Americans, that we are our brothers keepers, that we are a country blessed with enough riches that nobody should live in poverty, or go hungry.

   The Democrats feel that those who have been the most successful among us, have done so because of the efforts and contributions from all of us, and therefore should share more with the rest.

   The GOP on the other hand aspire more to an attitude of , "I got mine, go get your own".

   They believe that they alone were responsible for their success, and that sharing any of it is unfair.

   With that in mind, the GOP is naturally going to appeal the most to those that don't like the idea of having to share with the rest, and thus, the GOP receives a far greater share of contributions from the elite and corporate world.

  
    Somehow the GOP/Tea party has convinced many Americans to vote against their own self interests, and that the Democrats are trying to destroy their way of living.

   Like I said, the conservatives are in a desperate mode right now, every time they try indicting our President for wrongdoing, it has come 360 degrees to bite them on the ass.

   They swore to make him a failed President, and for 5 years they have done every possible thing they could think of to make that happen, but they only ended up shooting themselves in the foot every single time.

   After revealing to the entire world just how petty and spiteful the GOP is by shutting down the government and holding America hostage, they have now bet the house on the ACA failing .

   But guess what GOP, even with all your tries at sabotaging the ACA, it is now hitting its stride, the web site is working great, people are signing up in huge numbers, the success stories are rolling in, and now you have nothing.

   I normally feel sorry for the loser, at least a little bit, but after all the crap you did in your evil plan to win back voters, I have nothing but contempt for your nasty party.

   I will laugh at your misery, I will toast your demise, there isn't anything bad that can happen to you that I won't enjoy observing.

   Your despicable group of traitors have proven over and over that the only thing you give a damn about is money and power, well, enjoy what you have now, because in 2014 most of your ugly party will be hitting the bricks, and in 2016, the left should be controlling both houses, and the Presidency.

   Even with your gerry mandered districts, your voter suppression, your ballot rigging, your fear mongering, your false accusations, you will not win, you have shown your true nature, that of a morally corrupt group of self centered bigots who don't give a damn about anybody but themselves.

   So keep this in mind, the laughter and cheering you hear every time your party sinks further into oblivion, will be coming from the people who do represent the true America, the Democratic liberal progressives.

GIVING CHRISTIANS A BAD NAME

   I, like a great deal of Americans, consider myself a follower of Christs teachings, thus, a Christian.

   However, just as there are a variety of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds in the U.S., there are also a variety of Christianities that abound here.

   Some people look at how the Muslim faith is divided between the Shiite and the Sunni sects, and are confounded that two groups who proclaim the same faith can be so hostile to each other.

   Well, they've got nothing on us, there are so many different angles on what a Christian is supposed to be, that it makes your head spin.

   Now the days of killing each other over our differences are mostly behind us, but there remains some ugly reminders of just why we factionalized in the first place.

   Since Christianity began there have been those that devined different interpretations of Christs words, and then acted on those interpretations.

   Most notably, the Roman Catholics, the Protestants, the Mormons, Jehovahs witnesses, etc., and the offshoots of them, all that feel that they are the ones that are right.

   Now days these groups tolerate each other, and generally respect the others right to believe what they want, but there is a group that exists that is giving a bad name to the term "Christian".

   Mostly they call themselves "fundamentalists".

   Now this group is nothing new, they have been around for awhile, and the term actually describes a broad number of believers. 

   But the ones that are the problem, are those that like to mix large amounts of politics with their faith

   The most obvious of these lately are the members calling themselves the Tea party. They are mostly southern whites whose main motives seem to be in destroying the U.S. government.

   Unable to garner any real political power, they instead choose to attempt dismantling the current government structure.

   Although they loudly demand freedom, that would be the last thing we would have if these bigots were in charge.

   Instead we would have a small group that would dictate every step of our lives, they love to tell people what they can and can't do, in Gods name of course.

   This band of zealots criticize sharia law, and the Taliban, when in reality, they are just like them, ready to control your life as they see fit.

   The fact that the demographics of America are rapidly changing in favor of non white people is scaring the hell out of this group, probably because they fear that they will get treated as poorly as they treated others.

   Regardless of the desperate and destructive acts they partake in, this group will never usurp power from the majority of Americans, those that believe we are all in this together, and that when we take care of one another, we are making America a much better nation, a nation that cares for all of its citizens, not just a chosen few.

   My guess is that the very narrow and self serving way these fundamentalists pick and choose the parts of the bible that best serves their needs would be looked upon rather poorly by Christ, so I wish they would call themselves something else, because they are giving the term "Christian", a bad name.
