WHY YOU SHOULD NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ARGUING WITH CONSERVATIVES

 Dear GOP/Teabagger,

I am writing this letter for one special reason. That reason is so that I don't have to deal with your continued whining to "show you the facts" when all I ever do is to show you them. At which point you simply choose to ignore them.

You seem to be master at the art of self imposed  ignorance. Your ability to deny truth and facts is nothing short of amazing.

The way you utter out lies and disinformation you've been spoon fed from Fox news and your less than honorable party spokespeople is very impressive.

Whether you do this because your bigotry forces you to or you're so mentally challenged that you'll believe anything someone tells you, or you just like being somebodies pawn, I don't really know. But I also really don't give a rats ass.

If at this point in time you refuse to see what the GOP/Tea party is doing to this nation in your name then you never will. And I thus have no reason to try convincing you of the truth.

The fact that you hold fast to a party that has been very open about its desire to cause division and chaos in America whether by hook or by crook proves that your devotion to the party line goes way beyond any devotion you have for America.

I have posted already that the tipping point has been passed. The ACA has become a booming success in spite of the conservative movements numerous attempts to sabotage it. And the GOP has proven to all of America just how petty and dishonest it really is.

And to the chagrin of the GOP/Tea party the President will once again be seen as the victor for the American people. While the conservatives will continue to be viewed as nothing but worthless do nothing troublemakers whose fear mongering and lies are the trademarks of their existence.

So, as I have said before, I'm not at all worried about the conservative agenda. Their dismal future is already cast in stone. I will simply sit back have a drink and laugh at the self imposed destruction of the GOP/Tea party.

And when you ask me for the facts that you will quickly ignore I will instead repost this letter to you. Just so that you understand that I'm not ignoring you. It's just that you aren't worth the time I'd be wasting.

WHY I AM NO LONGER A REPUBLICAN

That's a serious statement, just what does it take to cause a forty year long GOP supporter to decide that he has been backing the wrong party?

Mostly it took opening my eyes and ears to what was going on around me, and actually investing the time and energy to investigate the facts, instead of taking the word of someone who says they have only my best interests at heart.

Except for an elite group of manipulators and the puppets they employ, I can easily imagine that the vast majority of GOP supporters are like I was, my dominant political position was "O.K., I'm busy, so go ahead and do the things you promised you would do, I trust you to do the right thing".

My wake up call began in earnest with the Bush Jr. Presidency and has continued on to the present.

While still giving lip service about protecting the Country and its people, Bush/Cheney/GOP were in full speed ahead mode to fulfill an agenda that was planned out long before, a very self serving agenda.

What has taken place since can only be described as an all out assault on America by the GOP and the elite puppet masters that control them.

You would have to be almost purposely ignoring the obvious facts to not see that the GOP is exclusively serving the masters who bought and paid for them, and that is not anyone with an income of less than 7 digits, not including the decimal point.

Some people say," Well the Democrats are just as corrupt as the Republicans are ".

   WRONG !!!      WRONG !!!      WRONG !!!

Yes, there are of course corrupt Democrats, but the immensely overwhelming evidence of political corruption is very easily witnessed belonging to the GOP, and they don't seem mind us seeing it.

Apparently, the GOP thinks that as long as they continue spewing out lies and false accusations, that nobody will notice their deception and misdeeds.

The belligerent arrogance they so readily display is a tell tale sign of their opinion of the intelligence of the average American citizen.

They scramble to enact legislation that curbs the ability of minorities to vote in the name of reducing voter fraud, when no fraud exists.

They redistrict the nation to ensure that the GOP
candidates get overwhelming advantages.

They openly state their intention to block any and all legislation proposed by Obama in an effort to make him look like a failed President.

They spread vast amounts of propaganda trying to keep Obamacare from becoming a reality.

They have ongoing congressional hearings trying to implicate President Obama in whatever scandal they can manufacture.

The list of GOP abuses goes on and on and on.

So while the GOP is busying itself in the pursuit of besmirching Obama and the progressive left, what's happening in Washington D.C.?

   ABSOLUTELY    NOTHING  !!!

In their agenda fulfilling adventures, the GOP has been responsible for killing bills that would create millions of American jobs, rebuild Americas aging infrastructure, and provide oversight on industries that nearly destroyed the economy.

Oh yes, and lets not forget that they were the ones responsible for the down grading of Americas bond rating for the first time in history.

These are not deep dark hidden secrets that got leaked out, these are easily verified FACTS that anyone who wishes to can look them up online.

That is todays GOP leadership, a group of bought
and paid for flunkies that think we are all so stupid that we can't see what they are doing, and the sad part is, they are right, way too many people still believe that the GOP is fighting for the average American, when the truth is just the opposite.

Unfortunately, the lies and propaganda that the GOP and its diabolical ally, Fox News constantly drill into the heads of their ignorant drone like followers seems to keep them from opening their eyes and minds to the reality of the situation.

Nobody has their eyes closed now, due to the terrorist wing of the GOP known as "the Tea party", and its self appointed leader, Ted Cruz, we can all see pretty clearly that America and its people are the last thing these traitors care about, they are more than happy to watch it burn, because they can't get their way, just like a spoiled little child.

Though I am disgusted with the GOP and their outrageous behavior, I take comfort in knowing that their devoted base is being constantly chipped away by their arrogance and deception, and that even with the vast amount of money supplied to them from their elite masters, winning an election will be next to impossible for them.

At least, I hope it does.

Apathetic Attitudes Are Always Annoying

WILLY: Hello and welcome to wise Willy's Wonderful World Of Words.  I'm Willy, how may I be of service to you today?

CUSTOMER: Hi, A friend of mine told me that he had purchased an opinion from you last week and that your choice for him was perfect, he said that all his friends just loved his new opinion and could hardly wait to get one themselves.

WILLY: Well we aim to please. Our philosophy is: "If that's what they want to hear, then just say it loud and clear."

CUSTOMER: Right! That's why I'm here, lately people have been asking me about how I feel on different issues and things, stuff like gun rights and immigration, and when I tell them that I don't have an opinion they sneer at me and walk away. When I was on a date the other night this girl I was with asked me what I thought about a woman having the right to decide what happens to her own body? When I told her I never really thought about it she got real huffy and asked me to please leave. It's really starting to become a problem and I want to fix it, but the truth is that I find it so much more comfortable not knowing what's happening around me.

WILLY: Well fear not young man, you've come to the right place. There are vast numbers of folks in the country who find that ignoring all the crisis happening is almost as comforting as pretending that there weren't any at all, but just as you have suggested occasionally social situations require you to take one side or the other of a particular issue, and if you are unprepared to respond it can be quite embarrassing. That is the reason we here at wise Willys do what we do.

CUSTOMER: That's good to hear, I thought I was the only one who didn't care about anything except what happens to me.

WILLY: Oh no no no, you would be surprised at how very very many people there are just like yourself, people whose thoughts and actions go no further than their own personal well being.

CUSTOMER: Terrific, what would suggest for a guy like me?

WILLY: I would advise you to buy our "can't go wrong" package. It includes various opinions that seem sincere to the listener, while maintaining enough wiggle room to quickly adapt their perceived impression to fit the situation. This package comes with your choice of three current issues and can be upgraded to the deluxe package which allows you two additional issues to choose and a tutorial DVD for practicing at home. And of course all our opinion packages have a thirty day exchange policy in case current crisis should change.

CUSTOMER: That sounds great, I'll take it, what do I owe you ?

WILLY: Oh don't worry about that now, trust me, you'll pay for it later.

DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO?!

Do as I say, not as I do.
My father would utter a particular phrase of advice on occasion that never really settled with me. Even at a young age, it struck me as wrong and I believe that even then I resented him giving it. The phrase was "do as I say, not as I do."

Now this may be a common phrase spoken by generations of parents as far back as the stone age, but I made a point to never use those words to my children. The idea that a certain action was totally legitimate for one person but not the other seemed very unfair, even back then in the 'good ol' days.'

So, fast forward to the present time, I find that my inner voice is screaming to myself in silence, "you don't have a problem giving advice, now show that you can take advice." Easier said than done, but I'm gonna try.

This hobby of putting words to print started as an interesting experiment suggested to me by numerous friends and family.  It has since morphed into something that I enjoy doing greatly, and although I realize that the public at large can read everything I write, it feels to me like I'm composing a journal; a book of memos to myself to remember that learning from your mistakes might keep you from repeating them in the future, hopefully.

So, what's the advice I give, that now appears I must heed? Empathy. The very basic element of the golden rule. The word itself signifies many aspects of the thought process, but I believe the most important of them is the conscious effort to think outside of ones normal parameters, and play out in your mind, the logical outcome of what certain words spoken or actions taken would entail, and how they might be interpreted by others.

In the past I have hurt and angered some of the people in my life that make living a worthwhile venture. Intended or not, hurt still hurts. By my not heeding my own advice of compassion to others, loved ones suffered. I have been accused of being harsh and heavy-handed in my descriptions of certain groups and organizations, but unless specified by title, my placing of contempt is aimed at those in control of those enterprises, not their following.

It's... dark in here.
When I rant and rave regarding alleged cover-ups and conspiracies, I will regularly accuse non-believers of having their heads stuck in the ground, or being unable to grasp what is obvious to others, or unwilling to face reality. Mea Culpa.

To those who I have personally hurt and offended, I sincerely apologize for my rudeness and insensitive actions, and offer up the following.

I realize now that my admonishments of those who share a different opinion than me are too all-encompassing and that there is a need on my part to hold accountable those that are guilty, and recognize the innocent as blameless, and make certain that my meanings are understood as intended. I do understand that there are many who do make the effort, and take the time to evaluate circumstances and events and come to a different conclusion than my own, and I do respect their beliefs, even if they differ from mine.

In no way do I intend them to feel as though I'm belittling them for those beliefs. On the contrary, my ultimate goal is that everybody take the time and put forward the effort to know and understand the issues facing us all. If, after that they see it differently than I, so be it. But, at least they have thought about it.

In future blogs I will be just as harsh and just as punishing as ever to those I feel are guilty, however I will use this forum to promise that in any forthcoming postings that I will strive to be more aware of my words, and try to eliminate any collateral damage from their misinterpretation.
